PARET currently maintains several radios at the Gig Harbor EOC (aka "Swede Hill"). We also have radios and/or antennas located at other fire stations throughout our part of the county. We are constantly working to increase the resources available to PARET for responding to emergency communication needs, and we encourage our members to obtain additional training, such as the FEMA courses relating to the Incident Command System. Most PARET members hold current Washington State Emergency Worker cards through the Pierce County Department of Emergency Management and associated with ARES/RACES.
